We’re all living at a time when horrific stories broadcast on the news hardly seem shocking anymore, but the story about a family of kids, many of them chained to their beds in a home in California, that I saw this morning truly shocked the hell out of me.

Those poor kids, 13 in all, were victims of starvation, torture apparently issued by their parents for much, if not all their lives. As I see it, it was an act of God that one of the children was able to get free and call authorities.

I don’t have the slightest clue what physical signs define insanity but I think it would be safe to say that these kids’ parents were(and still are) nuts. Not only have these kids’, many of them adults lives been terribly bruised and misshapen but, in my opinion anyway, it would take another a miracle to see any one of these children resume a normal life from here on out.

Of course, the whole point of me writing this blog was to crucify the crazy parents responsible for these children, not to put the children who lived through those hellish years down in some horrible way. I certainly hope that there is some way for those 13 kids to live some kind of a normal life one day. Hopefully, my prayers will help them….. but those parents will some experience hellish treatment spending the rest of their lives in prison.
