One of my favorite holidays is just about here-no, it’s not just because of all the food- and I thought that I would take a few minutes to say what I am truly thankful for, each and every day.

I’m thankful that I have a beautiful and healthy wife,Ann, who works so hard to make sure that I am OK and her and Eric’s needs are meant or goals are reached, especially as seeing as how he is now a senior narrowing down his choice of the colleges he’d most like to attend.

I am thankful for my brothers and sisters, always have been of course, but we’re all getting older so it has been nice to hear from some of them a few times via phone over the past year. Half of us(10 in all) no longer live in Connecticut so hearing their voices or seeing their faces has been a nice surprise.

I’m thankful that, as best as I can remember, none of my family has been stricken with the COVID-19 virus. People all over are getting sick and hospitals do not have rooms available. I suppose that’s scary, but I don’t know. You see, this virus is not causing me to push the panic button and I am not sure why. I suppose it is because this virus is something that can be scary, but is certainly survivable.

Finally, I’m thankful that I’m enjoying a seizureless streak that stands at 64 days today. Not my longest streak but, then again, it is not over yet and hopefully will not end for a very long time.

I probably missed a couple of things, but these are things that I am most thankful to God for. Despite the seizures, I consider myself very lucky and grateful for being able to live a somewhat normal life with the world’s best wife and son.
